Shun Yo, born in Aichi Prefecture, began studying calligraphy at age three and obtained a teaching license. While building upon traditional calligraphy, the artist presents abstract expressions that entrust inner feelings to natural materials such as ink, gofun (powdered shell white), gold, and silver, exhibiting both domestically and internationally. Shun Yo fully launched their career as an artist following an exhibition at the Louvre Museum in 2018. In recent years, the artist has been involved in SDGs projects with corporations and art consulting for architectural spaces, including painting the art for all guest rooms at the Fairmont Tokyo hotel, set to open in 2025.
