Summary
The exhibition “Site Yufuji Exhibition: Uncomfortable Chairs” will be held, featuring the work of Site Yufuji (born in Yamagata City in 1949). He was deeply influenced by Viennese Fantastic painting during his university years, studied industrial design at Musashino Art University, and pursued artistic endeavors in Europe before returning to Yamagata, where he now works as a painter, printmaker, and picture book author. The exhibition also simultaneously presents the work of Koichi Ono, who was based in West Berlin from 1970 to 1984, allowing visitors to experience the trajectories and diverse expressions of artists who contemplated amidst a rapidly changing Japanese society. The exhibition runs from October 31st (Fri) to November 16th (Sun), 2025, with an admission fee of 1,000 yen for the general public.
