【Kanagawa】Kenchō-ji Temple Premium Night Viewing "ZEN NIGHT WALK KAMAKURA"
Summary
The premium night viewing event, "ZEN NIGHT WALK KAMAKURA," themed around autumn foliage and the "Autumn Wind," will be held at Kenchō-ji Temple, Japan's oldest authentic Zen training hall in Kamakura. Following the success of "ZEN NIGHT WALK KYOTO" at Kennin-ji Temple, this event precedes Kenchō-ji's 750th anniversary of the founding master, Daitō Kokushi, in 2028. Visitors will experience walking meditation enveloped in scientifically proven "neuro-music" amidst the autumn colors. The event is a circuit-style sound art night that harmonizes mind, body, and brain through sound, silence, light, and shadow. Key related programs include experiencing neuro-music in the "Sound Corridor," the visual and auditory experience of "The Path of Clear Wind" at the Sammon gate with wind chimes, a light installation at the Karamon gate, a real-time visualized sound meditation using EEG in the Hojo Hall, a "Dance of the Wind Dragon" in the illuminated garden, and an audio-visual installation by Akira Wakita titled "Dragon Rain Picture" that interacts with the famous "Cloud Dragon Painting" by Junzō Koizumi. The event runs from October 28 to December 7, 2025.
