The 5th Floor is hosting "ANNUAL BRAKE 2025," an exhibition project that invites emerging artists to create shows using only their past works, rather than new productions. This fifth iteration of the annual project features three participating artists: Umi Teraoka (October 31–November 16), Yuri Miyauchi (November 21–December 7), and Fumimaro Ayano (December 12–December 28). The exhibitions will be curated by Shogo Hirano, Kokoro Kimura, and Ryota Kawaguchi, respectively, who are all alumni of last year's educational program for young curators, "Pre-Curatorial." The goal of the "ANNUAL BRAKE" project is to allow artists to examine their trajectory and narrative by constructing an exhibition based on their existing body of work, counteracting the pressure to constantly produce new pieces.
