Osaka Directory 11 Supported by RICHARD MILLE Mitsushi Tenu @ Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art
Summary
The Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art, in collaboration with the Kansai-Osaka 21st Century Association, presents the 11th installment of “Osaka Directory Supported by RICHARD MILLE,” a series showcasing young artists with ties to the Kansai region. This exhibition features Mitsushi Tenu, born in Osaka in 1989, whose work reconstructs materials like fabric and leather as “speaking devices,” influenced by her upbringing surrounded by books in her parents’ bookstore. The exhibition, running from December 20, 2025, to January 18, 2026, will showcase new works based on Tenu’s “sewing, decorating, and dancing” practices, and will also include a party from the queer culture “Ballroom” during the exhibition period. Through the exhibition and party, the artist aims to explore the free interplay between reality and narrative. Related events, including an artist talk, are also scheduled.
