The 74th Nagasaki Citizens' Art Exhibition Also Features the New 'Consul General of China in Nagasaki Award'

The 74th Nagasaki Citizens' Art Exhibition has opened at the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, showcasing 240 award-winning works from the general division and 1808 from the junior division, selected from approximately 36,000 submissions. Tomoko Kikuno (72), who won the Mayor's Award in calligraphy, expressed her joy and commitment to continuing her practice. Notably, the 'Consul General of China in Nagasaki Award' has been newly established this year, with one work selected from each division. The exhibition is divided into two periods: the first period (Japanese painting, Western painting, etc.) runs until the 4th of next month, and the second period (photography, crafts, junior painting, etc.) runs from the 6th to the 14th of next month. Admission is 300 yen for adults, and free for high school students and younger.
