Tokyo National Museum to Feature 'Asobiba☺Tohaku!' for a Limited Time Starting January 2026. Let's Play Together at Tohaku with Children.
Summary
The Tokyo National Museum will host a limited-time play area called 'Asobiba☺Tohaku!' in the Main Building's Special Room 5 from January 16 to March 1, 2026, aiming to provide a fun experience for children and a comfortable space for guardians. This popular event, previously held in 2024, will feature the approximately 1.7m high mountain-shaped play structure 'Tohaku Fuji' and expanded ball pits divided by height (under 90cm and over 90cm). Visitors can also enjoy the 'Asobiba Omikuji' to learn about auspicious motifs like Mt. Fuji and pine/bamboo/plum. The space includes a calm-down area, a relaxation area with children's books, and a baby care room. Free workshops will be held during the period, and guardians visiting with preschool children will receive a complimentary Miki House hand towel (first 3,000 pairs). English guidance will also be available for international visitors.
