The Towada Art Center is holding the first solo exhibition of sculptor Kineta Kunimatsu, titled "Interlinking Breaths," running from December 13, 2025, to May 10, 2026. Kunimatsu, who is based in Hokkaido, creates works inspired by the unique forms of trees and themes of boundaries found in landscapes. The exhibition will feature his signature large-scale sculptures from the *WORMHOLE* series, alongside new pieces created during his residency in Towada using local beech wood from Oirase. A key aspect of the show is the presentation of the creative lineage within the Kunimatsu family, showcasing works by his father, Asuka Kunimatsu, grandfather, Noboru Kunimatsu, and great-grandmother, Midori Kunimatsu.
