An awards ceremony was held on the same day, where Tomio Takata (74) from Itoman City won the Governor's Award for his craft piece, an "Ever-Changing Zodiac Shisa." Takata, who won the top prize on his first submission, expressed his surprise and desire to continue creating interesting Shisa figures.
