Enjoy Paintings with Corrective Lenses; Art Exhibition Lends Them to Color Vision Minorities: Sanyo Shimbun Digital | San-Deji
Summary
The NPO "True Colors," which works to raise awareness for people with color vision deficiencies whose perception of colors differs from the general public, will offer free loans of corrective lenses at the "UNKNOWN ASIA" art exhibition held on December 6th and 7th in Umeda South Hall, Osaka. Since people with color vision deficiencies often perceive red as black or brown, some avoid art. The exhibition will also feature experience lenses allowing the general public to understand how color vision minorities see. NPO Director Noriko Takahashi expressed hope that attendees will use the lenses to enjoy the art and gain understanding of these differences, fostering tolerance toward those affected.
