[Tokyo] Design Exhibition "identita – the story of Czech graphic design"
Summary
The design exhibition "identita – the story of Czech graphic design" will be held at the Czech Center Tokyo from December 4, 2025, to January 30, 2026. The exhibition investigates how graphic design was created and functioned amidst significant shifts in national identity in Czechia (and Czechoslovakia) since the early 20th century, including national independence, two World Wars, and political changes, through the display of actual works and panel explanations. This exhibition is a touring version of a multi-genre project curated by Filip Blažek and Linda Koudelková, which previously ran at Museum Kampa from October 2024 to February 2025. Admission is free, and the center will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during the New Year's break.
