The solo exhibition of painter Eiji Miwa, titled "Constant Impermanence," will be held at the hide gallery in Shibuya, Tokyo. This marks Miwa's third solo show at the venue, following a two-year interval. Miwa, born in Nagoya in 1993, is a rising artist who gained attention after receiving the Encouragement Award at the "Bijutsu Shinjin Sho Debut 2020" hosted by Gekkan Bijutsu in 2020. The hide gallery is jointly operated by the art bookstore "BOOK AND SONS" and Kobe's long-established gallery "KAWATA GALLERY." Miwa's artistic practice focuses on the process of human vision, starting from the principle of depicting what is seen exactly as it is seen. His works in this exhibition attempt to visualize temporality and fluctuation by capturing this "movement of vision" on canvas using light and rhythmic brushstrokes.
