The Ishinomaki City Museum announced the 14th Special Exhibition, "Drawing with Yuwa Kabayama - Art Exhibition of Forests and Seas," a collaboration with Musashino Art University. This exhibition showcases paintings created by Yuwa Kabayama, President of the university, alongside 20 local junior and senior high school students who participated in field studies of Ishinomaki's forests and seas. The exhibition is divided into two sections: the workshop results and a display of Kabayama's works, including the large diptych "Ken" (Manifestation) and "Sai" (Boundary), which depict the meeting of sea and forest. The exhibition runs from January 10 to March 15, Reiwa 8 (2026), and will feature a talk event with President Kabayama. A concurrently held exhibition, "MORI to UMI," featuring works by recent graduates and graduate students, will also take place at the former Kankeimaru Store.
