BUG School 2025: Moment Scape
Summary
The exhibition "BUG School 2025: Moment Scape," featuring independent curator Kaho Ikeda as the guest curator, will open on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. This art project, now in its third iteration, brings together seven artists who will present small exhibitions and a variety of programs, aiming to expand the possibilities of the art center by providing opportunities to engage with the artists' thoughts and works, making it an educational space accessible to various people, including working adults and students new to art. A key component is supporting artists' careers by facilitating opportunities for them to sell their work; proceeds, after artist shares and shipping costs, will be donated entirely to "Save the Children." The venue includes a Learning Space where visitors can participate in interactive programs, read recommended books by the exhibiting artists, and enjoy drinks from the BUG Cafe. Visitors can engage by viewing the art, participating in programs designed to foster mutual learning, or purchasing works. The exhibition space is designed with varied wall materials and angles to create overlapping works and a rhythmic viewing experience. Participating artists include Aokid, Mizuki Ashikawa, KANOKO TAKAYA, Moriumi Sakamoto, Tatsuru Hatayama, Eri Yagi, and Katsunobu Yoshida. The exhibition runs from December 17, 2025, to February 8, 2026, with free admission.
