Collection Exhibition II: The Best of the Best of Hyogo
Summary
The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, which has long collected works by artists born in, residing in, or otherwise connected to Hyogo Prefecture, is holding the "Collection Exhibition II: The Best of the Best of Hyogo." This exhibition features masterpieces selected from the former Eigawa Museum collection, donated to Hyogo Prefecture in 2019, including the Important Cultural Property tea ceremony utensils like Chojiro's "Raku Tea Bowl Inscribed 'Muichibutsu'" and the painting "Mihonomatsubara-zu" attributed to Den Ami. Additionally, the exhibition will specially display eight ancient Chinese mirrors owned by the Ancient Mirror Exhibition Hall in Kasai City, Hyogo. The exhibition runs from January 14 to April 5, 2026, at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art.
