Let's Support Wajima-nuri! Sale of Art Exhibition Navi Original Lacquer Chopsticks and "Wan-jima" Dishcloth Set
Summary
The Art Exhibition Navi online store began selling a set featuring the Art Exhibition Navi original Wajima-nuri chopsticks and a dishcloth embroidered with "Wan-jima," the official mascot of the Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima Lacquerware Museum, starting January 1, 2026. This initiative is part of the recovery support efforts for Wajima-nuri, which was damaged in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and was timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the disaster. The Wajima-nuri chopsticks are the same design previously given as a ticket purchase bonus at the "Art Exhibition Navi Fes" event. They were produced in collaboration with the long-established Wajima-nuri shop "Fujihachiya" and with the cooperation of "Bando Chopstick Shop." The accompanying dishcloth is made of 100% natural rayon and is versatile enough for drying dishes, cleaning, or even use as a face towel. The goal is to reintroduce the charm of Wajima-nuri, a traditional Japanese craft, into daily life.
