Loewe's Largest Store in Japan, "Casa Loewe Ginza," Opens, Featuring Art and Crafts in a Space Resembling an Art Collector's Residence
Summary
Loewe, the luxury brand celebrating its 180th anniversary, has opened "Casa Loewe Ginza," its largest store in Japan and the second largest globally, on December 4th. Spanning four floors and 965 square meters, the store offers the brand's full range of ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and jewelry. The design concept is inspired by an art collector's residence ("Casa"), featuring Loewe's collection of art and crafts from around the world displayed throughout. Highlights include Anke-Hamilto's "Kimono Lamp," a neon work by Cerith Wyn Evans, and ceramic works by Kuma Aoki, the winner of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2025. A Ginza-exclusive "Hammock" bag collaboration with Kyoto's Suna Fujita will also be available. The architecture blends Spanish sensibility with Japanese design; the exterior features hand-made madder green ceramic tiles referencing Ginza's history as low-lying land, and brass window frames inspired by the area's former minting facilities.
