The museum shop "339" at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting a POPUP project featuring the works of ceramic artist Maki-e Asano (Hello! Ai no Niwa), known for creating Neo-Dogū figures. The event showcases her "Praylings" series, which are small, ceramic prayer dolls—a portmanteau of "Praying" and "-ling." The exhibition will feature new works alongside 11 pieces first shown in her 2025 solo exhibition, "Folklore." Additionally, a related workshop will be held where participants can create amulets based on the Praylings figures. The POPUP runs from January 24 to April 5, 2026, at the "339" counter.
