The awards ceremony for the 53rd Ehime Children's Art Exhibition, organized by the Ehime Prefectural Board of Education and The Ehime Shimbun, was held on January 10th at the Prefectural Culture Hall in Matsuyama City. Approximately 1,000 children received certificates for works selected as 'Special Selections' from the pieces created over the past year by kindergarteners, elementary, and junior high school students. The exhibition covered art categories (two-dimensional, three-dimensional, painting, design, sculpture, crafts) and calligraphy (hard-pen, half-sheet, large scroll). A total of 1,063 works were chosen as Special Selections. These selected works are currently on display at the South Gallery of the Prefectural Museum in Matsuyama until the 14th (closed on the 13th).
