Summary
The solo exhibition "Takashi Homma in 2025" by photographer Takashi Homma was held at TARO NASU in Roppongi. Homma has recently favored simple titles combining a year and a name, such as "Arata Isozaki in 2019," and this exhibition is composed of excerpts from multiple photographic series, serving as an opportunity to review the time the photographer has passed through. The venue displayed fragments from his diverse series, including living spaces of refugees, stuffed animals, fashion photography, mushrooms, and the sea, presented with varying sizes and framing methods. The series "Portrait of J" was shown via slide projection in a space where recorded sounds could be experienced. Although these photographs seem to be associated with Homma's work in 2025, they were not all taken that year; they are assembled like a multiple kit of photographs temporarily fixed within an unbroken timeline. The exhibition space also incorporated elements like a Vuitton Boston bag and a Yamato Transport uniform, presenting a collection of photographs with timeless strength within a space that feels distinctly Tokyo, yet unbound by the year 2025.
