Take Ninagawa is holding a solo exhibition of Kazuko Miyamoto from February 14 to April 11, 2026. Miyamoto moved to New York in 1964, was involved in the rise of Minimalism as an assistant to Sol LeWitt, and significantly contributed to the community by running A.I.R. Gallery and founding gallery onetwentyeight. This exhibition focuses on her early work, showcasing pieces such as her String Constructions exhibited at A.I.R. Gallery, along with drawings, maquettes, and archival materials, many of which will be shown in Japan for the first time. Born in Tokyo in 1942, Miyamoto established her signature installation method using string in the early 1970s.
