[Chiba] Tsukurikake Lab 20 "Yuko Nishimura | Between Paper and Hand"
Summary
The 20th installment of the "Tsukurikake Lab" series, held at the Chiba City Museum of Art, is titled "Between Paper and Hand" and features paper sculptor Yuko Nishimura. This project centers on three themes: "Enjoying with the five senses," "Touching the material," and "Communication begins," where the artist engages in open creation and workshops. Nishimura pursues the expressive potential of paper through the act of "folding," cherishing the time paper traverses—from being made by human hands from plant fibers to returning to nature. Visitors are invited to explore the charm of paper through various interactions such as touching, folding, crumpling, and tearing it. The exhibition runs from February 11 to June 7, 2026, in the Children's Atelier on the 4th floor of the museum and admission is free.
