Hailing from the Goto Islands, Yamamoto was appointed art director for "Future Boy Conan" at age 24 and subsequently supported directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki, later contributing to works by Mamoru Hosoda and Makoto Shinkai. The exhibition will feature approximately 220 items, including hand-painted background art from his early to late career, previously unreleased art settings, image boards, and production tools, offering an in-depth look at his poetic artistic world. The event runs from January 31 to March 29, 2026.
