This exhibition features a comprehensive display of Western art, including donated items, held by the museum. While the institution specializes in ancient Oriental art, it has served as one of the few facilities in Osaka where Western paintings can be viewed year-round since the opening of its new wing in 1997.
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city, the museum will for the first time present its entire collection of Western art together. Visitors can enjoy works by world-renowned artists such as Monet, Renoir, and Gogh.
