The stationery maker Astrum Inc. (Pentel brand) and Mitsui Fudosan have started mural production on the construction fence of the "(Tentative) Nihonbashi Honcho 1-chome Block 5 Project" as part of the "Pentel × Mural Rookies Project" in Nihonbashi, the birthplace of Pentel. From September 1st, SARU1 and Kurara Abe are creating murals under the theme "Connections of the city." In total, four young artists, including Sakura Tona and Moji 8 Fresh!, are working on murals at three locations in the Nihonbashi area. Each artist participates in "Town Research Workshops," experiencing local culture and history to inform their work. The production period is until September 23rd, and the completed works will be displayed from September 25th until the end of December. The project aims to support young artists and introduce public art to the cityscape, creating opportunities for people to gather.
