German heritage brands RIMOWA and Faber-Castell have collaborated on a limited-edition item called the "RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case," focusing on the relationship between "travel" and "creation." Set to be released on September 17, the case is manufactured at RIMOWA's factory in Cologne, Germany, using signature grooved, anodized aluminum with a leather handle. Inside, it contains German-made drawing tools from Faber-Castell, most notably the full 120-color set of "Polychromos" oil-based colored pencils known for their high pigment. It also includes a 2B graphite pencil with both brands' logos, a platinum-plated pencil sharpener, and an eraser, all with RIMOWA's logo. A newly developed two-tier tray allows for a clear view of all materials when opened. The case is designed to develop a unique patina and scratches through use, accumulating the traces of the artist's creative journey over time. Available only in silver, the case measures H34.5 x W67.1 x D8.5 cm, weighs 6.8 kg, and is priced at 484,000 yen (tax included). It will be sold at select RIMOWA stores in Japan (Ginza, Omotesando, Shinsaibashi) and the official online store.
