An exhibition by the Uda City Artists Association (chaired by Sachiko Ikeda), comprising 22 artists in their 60s to 80s with ties to Uda City, Nara Prefecture, will be held from September 18 to 20 at the Hasegawa Sogo Center in Hasegawa, Uda City. Admission is free. This third exhibition will display about 70 works, including a 2.7-meter-tall six-panel folding screen inscribed with Uda's Manyo poems, a lacquerware piece titled "Kanshitsu Hyomon Makie Kaki Hibiki" made from hemp cloth and urushi lacquer, a photo collection titled "Beauty of the Moment" featuring偶然 captured scenes, and "Michikusa no Utsuwa" ceramics painted with roadside medicinal herbs. A concurrent "Uda Bi Junior Exhibition" will showcase calligraphy, paintings, and crafts by local elementary, junior high, and high school students. Continuing from the previous event, there will also be activities such as drawing visitors' portraits, writing requested tanka or haiku on colored paper, and photographing visitors. Chair Ikeda (66), a member of the Nitten exhibition, and advisor Keiji Kishimoto (68), a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association, said, "We want to continue contributing to the promotion of arts in Uda City.
