Summary
On October 3, 2026, as part of the ending talk for Museum Exhibition Navi Fest 2026, the top three must-see exhibitions this month, exclusive to participating museums, were introduced. First is the special exhibition "Utagawa Hiroshige: Best Angles of Edo" at Tokyo National Museum. Commemorating the donation of 1025 ukiyo-e works from the Uchiyama Susumu collection, it is shown in three phases. The first phase features "Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō" and Edo famous spots, including the complete 55 prints and variant versions. Second is "Kandinsky: The World Resonates" at Miyagi Museum of Art. This is the first large-scale exhibition in about 25 years, composed entirely of Kandinsky works from domestic collections, and explores his influence on Japanese artists. Third is "100 Selected Tea Bowls from the Museum Collection" at Mitsui Memorial Museum. It includes the National Treasure Shino tea bowl named Unohana-gaki and other Important Cultural Properties. This is the first tea bowl feature in about 30 years, and new merchandise "Famous Tea Bowl Puffy Stickers" is available. A talk based on this article will be held on X Space on October 7 at 7 PM.
