This exhibition commemorates the 110th anniversary of Okazaki City's establishment and the 30th anniversary of the Okazaki City Museum of Art, focusing on the life and work of artist Seiji Kunishima. Kunishima, who was active in both Japan and the United States, is well-known for his stone sculptures in public spaces, as well as his layered aluminum works and his private lifelong project, the "Wrapped Memory" series.
The exhibition features over 300 works, organized into four chapters that follow his artistic evolution from early paintings and "layered bodies" to his American period and his final years in Okazaki. The event will also include various related activities, such as talk events and workshops.
