Enjoy "Art in Everyday Life" Casually, Even for First-Timers. "LUMINE ART FAIR -My 1st Collection Vol.5-" with About 30 Artists Gathers Again This Year
Summary
The art fair "LUMINE ART FAIR –My 1st Collection Vol.5-" will be held again this year at LUMINE ZERO on the 5th floor of NEWoMan Shinjuku in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The event runs from October 30 to November 1. Now in its fifth year, the fair is part of LUMINE's "LUMINE meets ART PROJECT" (LMAP). About 30 artists based in Japan and abroad will participate. Admission is free, and the venue's direct connection to Shinjuku Station makes it easy for anyone to drop by. Visitors can view and purchase artworks, participate in workshops, buy merchandise, and vote for awards, experiencing art up close through various contents. Art concierges support artwork purchases and visitors can meet the artists themselves. To answer questions such as "What kind of artwork should I choose?" and "How should I display and store it at home?", "art concierge staff" knowledgeable about domestic and international art will be stationed at the venue. They circulate within the venue, so visitors can consult immediately about artworks that catch their interest. Additionally, "in-venue art tours" (free participation, October 31 and November 1 [about 30 minutes each]) will be held, explaining the backgrounds of participating artists and artworks while walking around the venue. Knowing the stories behind the works allows for deeper enjoyment. A workshop to create original items will also be held. Participants can freely combine motifs extracted from artworks to create one-of-a-kind items (advance reservation required). Using motifs from participating artists Takayoshi Kato, Tamami Kubota, Mayumi Tsuzuki, and Mugi Maeda, participants can enjoy creating their own works. Completed items can be taken home the same day.
