The art project "Hashirimizu Water Source 2026" will take place at the former Hashirimizu Elementary School in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, from October 31 to November 3, 2026. The school, once known as "the elementary school closest to the sea," will host the project in conjunction with the community event "Through the Water 2026 Autumn." Participating artists include Shinji Ohmaki, Junya Kataoka + Rie Iwatake, Chacha, Yurao Ho, Haruna Mitobe, Luca Le Guern, and Noriyuki Haraguchi. In addition to exhibitions, the program features a dyeing lab using plants collected in Hashirimizu, field work exploring local vegetation, a workshop making cyanotypes with seaweed, and talk events on the relationship between the community and art.
