The Kitakyushu City Museum of Art is hosting Collection Exhibition II from August 29 to December 27, 2026, focusing on photography from its collection of approximately 8,400 works. The exhibition features newly acquired photographs by Naoki Ishikawa, Yuji Shinomiya, and Shinya Fujiwara, along with documentary photos of the Gutai Art Association by Kiyoshi Otsuji and photograms by Eiku. Western masterpieces including Degas's "Portrait of Manet and Madame Manet," Basquiat's "Fire Fighter," and Monet's "Water Lilies, Reflection of a Willow" are also on display. The "guest room" series presents Yuko Abe's pen drawings, with her monumental 10-meter work "Drawing works#11" created over 11 years and 9 months making its public debut. General admission is 300 yen.
