A special viewing titled "Encountering Gentle French Scenery at the National Treasure Palace" is being held at the State Guest House Akasaka Palace in Tokyo until September 15th, marking the 140th birth anniversary of painter Fujita Tsuguharu. The palace, a Neo-Baroque building and National Treasure, houses six of Fujita's oil paintings. These were originally ceiling paintings created for the salon of the Ginza Colomban pastry shop. For this exhibition, four are displayed in the East and West entrances, while two normally unseen works are specially exhibited in the "Flowers and Birds Room."
