From September 19 to November 8, an interactive exhibition titled "Re: Horror ni Fureru Ten - Eiga Bijutsu no Sekai -" (The World of Film Art) will be held at Tokyo Dome City Gallery AaMo. Following the success of a previous exhibition that attracted over 80,000 visitors, this updated version focuses on the special effects and art design of Japanese horror films. Unlike haunted houses, it is designed for visitors to actively engage with the art by touching, lifting, and photographing the pieces. All displayed artwork is specially created by veteran film art directors for this event, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship and practical techniques used on movie sets, which are typically destroyed after filming. A "Production Notes" corner provides insight into behind-the-scenes work. The exhibition recreates a nostalgic yet unsettling 1970s-80s setting, allowing attendees to explore the ingenuity behind creating realistic-looking props from lightweight, non-genuine materials.
