A special inaugural exhibition, "Mika Ninagawa Exhibition: The Light of Beginnings," opened on September 12th at the newly opened Kawaguchi City Art Museum in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture. Artist Mika Ninagawa, deeply connected to Kawaguchi as the hometown of her father, Yukio Ninagawa, where she also spent her early childhood, created a new exhibition that confronts the private theme of family memories. She recalled that the energetic and chaotic streetscape of Kawaguchi, particularly the blurred experience between reality and fiction during the Torigoe Festival, profoundly influenced her artistic vision, forming the foundational origins of her creative work.
