From October 3 to November 8, 2026, the Nagasaki History and Culture Museum will hold the special autumn exhibition 'Cultural Heritage Future Inheritance Project TSUZURI: The World of Beauty as Told by High-Resolution Reproductions'. Organized jointly by Canon, the museum, and NBC Nagasaki Broadcasting, the exhibition showcases high-fidelity reproductions of national treasures and famous artworks. The reproductions are created using the 'TSUZURI Project,' a social contribution initiative by Canon and Kyoto Bunka Kyokai that combines advanced imaging technology with traditional Kyoto craftsmanship. Featuring 23 works, including pieces by masters like Kano Eitoku, Tawaraya Sōtatsu, and Itō Jakuchū, the exhibition allows visitors to view items without glass cases and take photographs. It also includes a talk show and hands-on workshops. The project aims to make Japan's cultural heritage more accessible and ensure its transmission to future generations.
