Instead, Aoki and Tuttle worked together for two weeks to build the exhibition space as a unified whole, making it impossible to distinguish who created what part. Aoki expresses admiration for Tuttle's open, polysemous works and relates them to his own architectural philosophy of creating spaces he calls 'harappas'—open, flexible environments whose meanings are not fixed.
