The first and last joint exhibition by the art clubs of Shinshu University Affiliated Matsumoto Junior High School and Matsumoto Misuzugooka High School began on February 26 at the Matsumoto City Museum's exchange learning room. For the junior high art club, which will be disbanded at the end of this month due to the regional transfer of club activities, this is their final activity. The exhibition features 31 works by seven second- and third-year junior high students, including sketches, still lifes, and postcards, alongside 12 works by six second-year and retired third-year high school students, such as landscapes and architectural drawings. The two schools also collaborated on a Matsumoto-themed piece: high school students drew the outline, and junior high students added watercolor and colored washi paper, depicting the national treasure Matsumoto Castle in a vibrant style reminiscent of projection mapping. The exhibition runs until February 27, with free admission from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A workshop where students make original postcards by cutting and pasting colored paper is also being held.
