On September 30, public judging was held for painting, sculpture, calligraphy, and photography, and winners were selected in each category. In the painting category, Takeo Ohira's "Jinsei Aranami Shometsu" won the Minamiuonuma Exhibition Award, and Akiko Higuchi received the Niigata Nippo Art Promotion Award. In the sculpture category, Kaori Yoneyama's "Daisuki na Ojiichan" won the Minamiuonuma Exhibition Award, and Kenjiro Nakabayashi's "Chu" received the Yuzawa Town Mayor's Award.
