CyberAgent and Saga University of Arts / Saga Art College Sign Comprehensive Partnership Agreement
Summary
CyberAgent, Inc. announced it has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Saga University of Arts and Saga Art College (Saga Bi), part of the Daikakuji Gakuen educational foundation. The agreement aims to leverage both parties' human and intellectual resources to advance educational and research activities and to nurture next-generation creative talent in content industries such as design, art, games, and anime.
The partnership comes as Japan's content industry continues to grow globally while the development of creators becomes an industry-wide challenge amid diversification and sophistication of works and expression. CyberAgent has established a new creative base called "CANVAS KYOTO" in Kyoto to enhance training environments for next-generation creators and strengthen collaboration with educational institutions. Saga Bi is a leading arts university in the Kansai region that has produced many creators in animation, games, and design against the backdrop of Kyoto's rich traditional culture.
The collaboration covers four main areas: joint research and joint projects in which students work with CyberAgent creators; practical educational programs including lectures, workshops, and special courses taught by company creators; career support programs giving students hands-on production experience; and community contribution and co-creation initiatives using art and design perspectives. Saga Bi President Koichi Emura expressed hope that the industry-academia collaboration will create fresh opportunities for creation and research, while CyberAgent Executive Officer Yosuke Sato said the company aims to nurture diverse talent in Kyoto and contribute to Japan's industrial development.
