The Kagawa Prefectural Art Exhibition (known as "Kenten") is the oldest prefecture-hosted open call exhibition in Japan, having begun in 1934 (Showa 9). The 90th edition aims to create a richer exhibition for both creators and viewers, displaying selected works including prize winners. The exhibition runs from Saturday, November 7 to Saturday, December 12, 2026, at the Kagawa Prefectural Museum. Admission is 750 yen for general visitors and other rates apply. The museum is closed from November 16 to November 20 and from November 29 to December 3. Concurrently, the "3rd Young Artists Support Project Exhibition" will be held. This project provides recipients aged 40 or under at the Kagawa Prefectural Art Exhibition with the opportunity to present their works at the Kagawa Prefectural Museum during the following year's exhibition period.
