Summary
The international art fair "Kiaf SEOUL" will be held at COEX in Seoul, South Korea, from September 2 to 6. Organized by the Galleries Association of Korea, the fair marks its 25th edition with the theme "Coexistence." For the first time, Kiaf has brought in an outside creative director—Chung Koo-ho, known for his work with the fashion brand KUHO, who oversees branding, spatial design, and the curation of a special exhibition.
The venue will host 175 galleries from 18 countries and regions, including 20 first-time international participants such as Nino Mier Gallery (New York), Jacob Arthur Gallery (Los Angeles), Anna Nova Gallery (Saint Petersburg), and JD Malat (London). Five Korean galleries, including Gallery Hesed and CDA, are also joining for the first time. Japanese galleries are also well represented: Gallery Tsubaki / GT2 (Tokyo, appearing for the 17th time), SH GALLERY (Tokyo), and KAZE ART PLANNING (Osaka). In the "Kiaf PLUS" platform for emerging artists and galleries, Japanese participants include hide Gallery, Empathy Gallery, Ginza Tsutaya Books, YOD TOKYO, and Suisei.
Together with the concurrently opening "Frieze Seoul," Kiaf SEOUL serves as the centerpiece of Seoul Art Week, engaging the entire city.
