AZ-COM Marukawa Holdings announced on the 1st that it has established the Marukawa Art Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation, with the aim of contributing to society through cultural and artistic activities. The foundation's representative director is President Kazushi Wasa-mi. The foundation will operate the 'Kinu-tani Ko-ji Wasa-mi Shō Wadai Museum' in the Nihonbashi WASAMI Building under construction in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, in collaboration with the Kinu-tani Ko-ji Art Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. It will collect paintings by the late Kinu-tani Ko-ji, a Culture Medal recipient, as well as sculptures by Kinu-tani Kotarō and paintings by Kinu-tani Kanako. The foundation will engage in the preservation, display, research, and promotion of art and culture. The museum, located on the second and third floors of the building, is scheduled to open in May 2027. The 13-story commercial building with one basement floor, constructed by President Wasa-mi's asset management company, is expected to be completed in December 2026. After completion, the foundation will relocate its headquarters from Yoshikawa, Saitama Prefecture, to the new building.
