As part of Okazaki City's 110th anniversary celebrations, the 2026 Autumn Special Exhibition "Mio Hashimoto Wood Sculpture Exhibition: A Journey with Living Creatures" will be held from September 19 to December 6, 2026, at the Okazaki World Children's Art Museum. Sculptor Mio Hashimoto creates lifelike wooden sculptures modeled after animals she has actually encountered and touched, inviting visitors on a "journey with living creatures." Admission is 1,000 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary/junior high students, with free entry for local students and disabled visitors. The exhibition period includes various events such as an artist talk, an animal sketch competition, a concert "Music of the Beast Forest vol.5," and a workshop "Let's Make the Children's Museum Forest Specimen Box." The museum is closed on Mondays, except for certain holidays.
