The Matsuoka Museum of Art will make its first appearance at "Art Exhibition Navi Fest 2026," to be held on September 29 at the Yomiuri Otemachi Small Hall in Otemachi, Tokyo. Located in the residential area of Shirokanedai, Minato Ward, the museum is a hidden private museum housing approximately 1,800 artworks collected by the trader Matsuoka Seijiro (1894-1989). Its collection is particularly renowned for Chinese Ming and Qing ceramics, with masterpieces such as the "Blue and White Dragon Arabesque Globe Vase" and the "Blue and White Octagonal Vase with Double Phoenix and Insects," whose acquisition led to the museum's establishment. At the festival, the museum will sell magnets (800 yen each) and coasters (1,200 yen each) featuring these and other Oriental ceramics, as well as a plush toy (3,650 yen) of Diego Giacometti's "Cat Waiter's Head" produced by the long-established doll maker Yoshitoku. Other items include the books "My Favorite Shirokane Art Best Selection" (2,500 yen) and "Masterpieces of Ming and Qing Paintings from the Matsuoka Museum of Art Collection" (2,000 yen). All items are scheduled to go on sale from noon on September 29, 2026.
