The Artizon Museum has released its 2027 exhibition schedule. From February 23 to May 30, "ARTIZON NOW: Expanding, Connecting, Collection" will showcase new acquisitions, including ukiyo-e, Noh costumes, modern Western and Japanese art, contemporary art such as Australian Aboriginal art, design, and Japanese antiquities. From June 19 to September 20, the museum will host the return exhibition of the Japan Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale, featuring Arakawa Nash doctors participatory work based on their experience as a queer parent of twins. Concurrently, an exhibition on Fujishima Takeji will trace his creative journey with newly donated sketches and documents. From October 16 to January 30, 2028, "New Objectivity: Art Scene of the 1960s–70s" will examine the shift in art after abstract expressionism, presenting about 60 works by artists such as Jasper Johns and Robert Ryman. A concurrent special display, "Homage to Rodin," will feature prints and sculptures by Rodin and his disciples, marking 110 years since his death.
