The solo exhibition "Luminous Still Life Observation Record" by photographer and artist Akinobu Yamashita will be held as a member project of the 52nd Art Festival Tokyo Exhibition. The series features photographs of playground equipment, objects, and monuments shaped like animals, dinosaurs, and monsters found in parks, plazas, and stations, captured in nighttime light. These familiar forms by day reveal completely different expressions at night, and their silhouettes emerging from the darkness appear as if they might start moving at any moment. The exhibition runs from October 7 to October 14, 2026, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Exhibition Room 3 on the first floor. Visitors can enjoy the mysterious "still lifes" that appear in the nighttime world.
