The art festival "Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2026 beyond" has opened on Mt. Rokko in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, and runs until November 29. Launched in 2010, this is the 17th edition, organized by Rokko Mountain Tourism and Hanshin Electric Railway. Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba's "Conversation of Two Mountains — At a Funeral — Mt. Rokko and Mt. Ba Vi Speak" references the historical signatures of September 2, 1945, and expresses a dialogue between Mt. Rokko and Mt. Ba Vi through a giant red pine. Ryo Inoue's "Jitto! Tsubusani! Yosei Watching" is a video work peeking into the lives of fairies in Kobe, evoking unique episodes of its people.
