[Tokyo] TOKAS Project Vol.9: "Reenactment of Being"
Marking 20 years of Japan-Korea exchange, five artists explore "Reenactment of Being" in a contemporary art exhibition.Summary
Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo will host the 9th edition of the "TOKAS Project" international exchange program. This iteration commemorates the 20th anniversary of exchange between Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) and Seoul, featuring an exhibition by five Japan- and Korea-based artists—Eun Jaepil, Kim Dohi, Ku Donghee, Park Minha, and Shin Mino—who have participated in past residency programs. Thematically addressing the wavering contours of perception and existence, the artists attempt to re-stage (reenact) observed lives from different perspectives within the exhibition space, prompting new interpretations and a reexamination of the essence of life in the contemporary era. The exhibition runs from October 3 to November 8, 2026, with free admission. Related events include an artist talk, performances, a special talk, and a theatrical performance.
