"Tenjishitsu Project Exhibition: Even in Unseen Places, Something Is Always Happening" Held at Chofu City Cultural Hall Tazukuri: Turning Attention to the "Unseen"
Summary
The "Tenjishitsu Project Exhibition: Even in Unseen Places, Something Is Always Happening" is being held at Chofu City Cultural Hall Tazukuri in Tokyo from October 15 to January 24, 2027. The exhibiting artists are Aokid, Yudai Iikawa, Yoshihisa Iguchi, and Tatsuruh Hatayama. This exhibition is the culmination of three years of activities by the Chofu-based art project "Tenjishitsu Project," which has been working under the theme of "changing one's thinking (tenji) through knowing." The curator is Nozomu Ogawa, representative of Art Center Ongoing / Art Center NEW, and the exhibition attempts to turn attention to "unseen places" that lie outside one's own experiences and thoughts. The venue consists of two areas: "Naka" based at Chofu City Cultural Hall Tazukuri, and "Soto" developed from November 13 to 15 at Chofu Station Plaza and Tetsumichi (north side of Torie Keio Chofu Building C). In "Naka," the activities of the Tenjishitsu Project and works by the artists are introduced. The exhibition content changes during the period, with works created with citizens added during the "Soto" period. In "Soto," various workshops by the Sugu Chofu Team and the dance project "Nuno no Shirabe Kaze Dance," Tatsuruh Hatayama, and Aokid, as well as Aokid's stay and improvisational performance, outdoor screening of Yoshihisa Iguchi's video work, and an outdoor atelier are planned.
